Matthew 24:13
1: He is going to come back again.
2: His children will live in Heaven with Him forever.
Now, why did Jesus tell us this Good News?
1) Because the disciples asked Him.
2) Because He loves us very much.
3) Because some will give in to pressure.
Pressures:
They are moral pressure.
They are Physical pressure.
They are mental pressure.
They are emotional pressure.
Jesus indentifies this pressure in 3 ways:
1) The price will be too high.
2) The talk will be too convincing.
3) Sin will be too enticing.
Jesus in Heart
1: Believe Jesus is the son of God.
2: Acknowledge sins and confess to God.

Q: Cosmetic surgeries; very personal question, if I had this kind of surgery, am I messing with the way God designed me?
A: Motive for surgery? (Increase sex appeal?)
Q: Why doesn't First Baptist have a school at the Church?

1 Corinthians 11:23-26
23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,
24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."
25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
1 Corinthians 11:27-28
27 Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
28 A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.

Topic: Why Pick On The Angels?
Scripture: Hebrews 1:4
After the fall of rebellious under Lucifer the Angels in heaven:
1. Were no longer subject to sin
2. Were holy and powerful
3. Were not subject to human predicaments
There are 108 direct references to them in the Old Testament and 165 in the New
Testament
Four other relevant things about Angels:
1. They are specially created spirit beings
2. They were created by God before He created man
3. They watched the creation of the world
4. They are of a higher order than fallen man
So, why pick on Angels?
1. Because they are spirit beings and do not have flesh
a. They do have bodies
b. They can appear in human form
c. They can appear in other forms
2. Because they are highly intelligent and have emotions
a. They rejoice
b. They speak
c. They reason
3. Because they do not marry
4. Because they do not die
5. Because they number in the trillions
6. Because man has to struggle against fallen ones
7. Because they minister to God and obey His commands
a. They watch and participate in His work
i. We see this in His temptation
ii. We see this in His humiliation
iii. We see this in His resurrection
b. They watch and participate in His ministry
i. They watch over the church
ii. They assist in answering prayer
iii. They deliver from danger
iv. They give encouragement
v. They protect children
vi. They announce judgement

Topic: Why Pick On The Angels? pt.2
Scripture: Hebrews 1:1-14
BECAUSE OF HIS NAME
A. Consider the Angels
1. Angels are created by God
2. Angels are not related to God
No wonder the 2-fold question:
a) "Did I ever call you Son?"
b) "Did I ever say I was your Father?"
B. Consider the Son
1. He was called Son because of His incarnation
2. He was seated as Son because of His exaltation
His Sonship helps understand 3 things:
1- Jesus' relationship with the Father
2- Jesus' willing submission to the Father for the sake of man
3- Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross as an historical fact of love from the Father
How was Jesus' Sonship established?
1) Through the virgin birth
2) Through Jesus' ressurection
BECAUSE OF HIS WORSHIP
1. Prior to Jesus' incarnation the Angels worshiped Him as God
2. At the time of Jesus' birth the Angels worshiped Him as the Savior of the world
3. After Jesus' resurrection the Angels worshiped Him as Lord
4. Following Jesus' exaltation the Angels worshiped Jim as King of Kings and Lord of Lords
Why?
Because Jesus is God's first-born = position!!!
This means:
a. Jesus has jurisdiction over the world
b. Jesus has jurisdiction over the church
Dr. Wilton will complete this message next week with part 3 of
"Why pick on Angels?"

Questions For The Pastor
Q: Is it possible to change God's mind with prayer? It appears Moses, Hezekial, and others did.
A: It appears so; prayer by intercession; gift to plead to God by man on behalf of man. Genesis 18, Isaiah 38:1-5, Effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man?
Q: How would we know if we encounter an angel in our everyday life?
A: Hebrews 13; no way to know.
Q: Can a person accept Christ and feel no change in his life, but feel he is going to hell? What can the person do to feel he has been saved?
A: No repentence, no salvation. Lawlessness Jesus has no love of. That person needs to consider his or her slavation.
Q: Do agels have wings?
A: No scriptural support for or against.
Q: Once saved, always saved?
A: Yes, you can not be plucked out of God's hand. Romans 8:1. "Union"; greek, seals, deposits. Backsliding has a time limit.
Q: Age of people in the old testament; was it sin that shortened their lives? Has disease and impurity of the gene pool contributed?
A: No scriptural support, according to Dr. Wilton; disease is a consequence of sin.
Q: What are the three heavens?
A: According to commentators, 3rd heaven is God, 2nd heaven is spatial heaven (infinite); everwhere, 1st heaven is earth
Q: Please explain why nearly all nations hate the Jews?
A: Isaac and Ishmael; emnity.
Q: What is the reason the Jesws did not recognize Jesus as the messaih?
A: Refused to accept Jsus; disbelief.
Q: Why is it important to become a member of a church?
A: 1: Fellowship; 2: Bible study; 3: Ministry; 4: Obedience (Jesus said "do not fosake the assembly of yourselves together??) I think that's Hebrews 10:25; 5: For encouraging others, it's not what you get, it's what you give, 6: For the children.

Topic: FIXING THOUGHTS ON JESUS AT CHRISTMAS
Scripture: Hebrews 3:1
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
1) Pay attention
2) Observe continuously
3) Avoid interruption
WHY?
a) Because there were some who pretended He was never born
b) Because there were some who wanted Him eliminated
c) Because there were some who, thoough they believed, had no room for Him in their in
d) Because there are some who wanted to pay homage to Him but couldn't find Him
e) Because theyre were some who had heard about Him but just couldn't figure it all out
f) Because there were some who had been changed forever by Him!
Now, what qualifies Jesus for this individed attention?
1. His relationship with the Father
2. His submission to the Father
3. His willingness to be born of a woman
4. His sacrifice on behalf of man
5. His seat at the Right Hand of God
The writer wants us to fix our thoughts on two things with regard to this Jesus:

b. He is the appointed one
c. He is the annointed one
As such Jesus:
a. Represents the One who sent Him
b. Carries the authority of the One who sent Him
c. Speaks in behalf of the One who sent Him
II. He is the High Priest
a. He is the selected One
b. He is the sacrificed One
c. He is the saving One
d. He is the sanctifying One
